DRY SALT  THERAPY (Halotherapy)

What is Halotherapy?

Halotherapy is also called Dry Salt Therapy. During halotherapy, 99.99 percent pure Sodium Chloride is ground into micro particles and dispensed into the air. These particles then are inhaled, and fall onto the skin. The particles penetrate deep into the lungs, and are also absorbed through the skin. Dry Salt Therapy promotes a sense of well-being and rejuvenation. It is natural, safe, non-invasive, and has little to no side effects.

Dry salt is anti-inflammatory. The inhaled salt particles may aid in the reduction of inflammation in the respiratory tract. Airway passages are opened, creating a clean respiratory system. A healthy respiratory system creates higher oxygen intake, increased energy levels, and an improved immune system.

Dry salt is extremely absorbent and attracts foreign particles within the respiratory tract. It acts almost like a toothbrush to the lungs, removing buildup.

Salt is also antibacterial. As the salt travels through the respiratory tract, it breaks down pollutants and bacteria. The body will expel any of these foreign substances which can be coughed up.

The salt particles that fall onto the skin provide pH balance, which increases the skins rigidity, and stimulates cell growth.

For general respiratory hygiene halotherapy is recommended 1 to 2 times per week. Individuals will notice stress reduction, better sleep, and improved immunity.

If too much salt is bad for your diet, is Halotherapy bad for you?

Halotherapy is associated with the respiratory tract. When inhaled, the amount of salt entering your respiratory system is very low. This is different from ingesting salt, which is associated with the digestive tract. Dry Salt Therapy does not have a negative effect on diet, hypertension or high blood pressure. Dry Salt Therapy reduces inflammation, expands airways, and breaks down bacteria.

Halotherapy has not been evaluated by the FDA. Halotherapy is not intended to cure, treat, diagnose, or prevent any disease.
